“Starry Nights”
Painting by Vincent Van Gogh
From lighttalk.via-verlag.com

let it go
fling it free
yank its grasp from your castle moat mind
before skeletons float
dripping arrows like weeds
get beyond the grim siege
begin eating again
by the light of strong stars
for there’s more than just you
caught on claws of a past
that gives nothing to any tomorrow
cold reasons that hide in a circular sanctum
can kill sure as cancer
bring castles to shambles
and dredge up spent weapons
to season new wars
who cares why things happened
in darkness of daylight
bright night has descended
to let you release what is best to forget
unexplained unexcused
so don’t waste it
